We've had a Japanese exchange student staying with us for the past week and a half. He is from a city called Hekinan. He's a nice kid, but kinda quiet. Some things he's done seem a little rude, but our two cultures are certainly different.
I had the opportunity to (in a VERY brief way) share the Gospel with him this afternoon as I was driving him and his friend Masaru home. I asked him if he had told a lie, and he admitted to doing that. I asked him if he had ever taken anything that didn't belong to him. He said no. I said, "what about the music you were asking my son to burn to CD for you?" I asked him if he had ever dishonored or disobeyed his parents. I said, "have your parents ever had to say No, No to you?" No he said.
I told him about Jesus, and how he had died and come back to life for him to pay the fine for his crimes.
They didn't seem to totally understand, but I was blessed to have the opportunity.
God bless...
