Ron, Wayne and I went to Mukilteo beach last night to hand out gospel tracts and do some evangelizing. We had intended on going to the Tilted Thunder Rail Birds, roller derby at Comcast Arena in Everett, to do the same, only, my bad, I got my schedule wrong, and we missed that by a couple of hours.
[The night before, Julie and I had driven by the mukilteo lighthouse and beach, and noticed how packed it was and we thought, boy what an opportunity for evangelizing.]
The LORD went before us in every way last night. The parking lot was full, but we got a spot right up in the front. We got out of the car, gathered our tracts and Gospel's of John (which we get for free from http://www.pocketpower.org).
We handed out at least three hundred tracts among the three of us and at least a couple dozen Gospels of John. As well, we had the privilege to have in depth conversations with around twenty different young people. We were totally blessed!
All the conversations were really amazing, to have people basically let us preach the gospel to them, but one stands out in my mind.
We were on the sand, talking with an early twenties couple. They were a really nice couple (very handsome and polite). After sharing with them for a while, Mark tried to justify himself by saying something to the effect, "won't God let someone into heaven, although they sinned, if they do a lot more good things." I was able to share with him how that was an attempt to bribe the Judge, and there would still be justice to serve. He seemed to understand what I said. I asked him to consider what we had talked about and encouraged him to read the Gospel of John. He said he was going to read it.
All in all it was very encouraging. We even saw Daniel Lefotu and Chris McAuliffe. Daniel was stoke about the possibility of doing a Rap outreach there.
God bless...
