Great Encouragement

This morning, the Lord provided opportunity once again, for us to lift up our voices like a trumpet.   But as wonderful as that was, there was some resistance to the Gospel being proclaimed.   Resistance came not in the form of heckling, but in the form of people telling us that we shouldn't be doing what we're doing, and complaining while we were preaching.   But again, we also had encouraging thumbs ups from several people.

We had a very touching, even heart rending moment as we witnessed to Adrian and Kia, who told us they were being hindered from being with their children because of their addiction.   They both had a Christian upbringing, and were very open to our sharing compassionately with them.  They accepted prayer from us, and broke down crying as we prayed for them.   Please keep them in your prayers.

Here is some video of Thomas, on the box:

Here is the message I presented...
Hi Folks, I’m usually the kind of guy that flies under the radar.  It isn’t my goal in life to be noticed.   But I have something to say that is so important, I'm willing to stand up here and look like a fool.  I would so appreciate your patience and attention for a brief moment.  Now what I have to say starts off with a some bad news, so this might be a little uncomfortable, but track with me because it only gets better.  The sad fact is that we’re all going to die someday.  It is a proven statistic, that 10 out of 10 people die. The Bible says, it is appointed unto man, once to die and then comes the judgement. The Bible also says, God has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness;  that's the standard, 'righteousness' means he's going judge the heart.   We can see how we’re doing compared to that standard, by looking at ourselves in the mirror of God’s law the Ten Commandments.  If you would, for a moment, listen to your conscience.   Think of your conscience like the smoke detector in your house.  You want it to ring out if there is smoke or fire.   So here goes...   Have you lied?   Have you stolen?   Have you used God’s name in vain?  Have you always honored your parents?   Have you always put God first in your life?   Have you ever hated?  Did the fire alarm go off in your mind? It should have.  This should greatly concern you, it's so serious and it leaves us ALL in big trouble on judgement day.   We want to avoid hell, so trust in the Savior.   The Good News is that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead on the third day.   He commands everyone to repent and trust in Him as savior. That’s the Good News, Jesus took the punishment we deserved. If you will repent and trust Him today God will give you the gift of eternal life.

God bless...
