Weekend before last, brother Joel and I went to the Lake Stevens Aqua Fest. He had some cool "Good News / Word of Truth" tee shirts made for us.
We handed out gospel tracts, and got into one-to-one conversations with several groups of people. I was sooo encouraged that God gave us the appointments with young people to share the Gospel and talk about eternal matters.
Please pray the seed of the Word to germinate in the heart of Phoenix and Mason, Alex, Jack, Chandrice, and others.
At about noon, when both Joel and I were starting to feel sunburned, we decided it was time to leave. As we were on our way out of the festival, we were told by a policeman, that he had received complaints about us, and that we couldn't do what we were doing. Joel explained that not only was he a resident of Lake Stevens, and he was a tax-paying citizen, but we couldn't be prohibited from handing out Gospel tracts because that would be unconstitutional. The police officer said, "okay by me, just go make sure it's okay with the festival officials". We went and talked to a couple of people at the info booth, and showed them our tracts. They said let us call the "president".
We waited around for a while and decided to just leave my cell phone # and leave.
Later I got a text that read, "sorry Keith, but you can't hand out tracts, unless you purchase a booth."
God bless...
