I'd like to share some interesting concepts were covered in a Church history class, to which I've been listening.
1. Our concept of history is that history has a beginning and an end, with purpose in-between. There are good reasons we take history in school; not the least of which is that we might learn from both the mistakes and the successes of our predecessors. Not only is the study of history important, but the understanding that history itself proceeds forward and is under God's control. Sometimes life can seem out of control, but we serve the God who reigns in the affairs of men.
2. We conceptualize time as past, present and future. That comes from a Biblical worldview. The pagan concept of time in ancient mythology was that time was cyclical. Similar to the Hindu concept of reincarnation, time itself was thought to be cyclic, in other words, time started and then looped back and started over. Remember 8-track tapes (if you're old enough)
God bless...
